that's a vice, not a clamp, and that table isn't near sturdy enough

Our vice is very functional for the work we do with it - including any creative uses of it we may come up with. It is an amazingly multi-functional item. I have been very pleased with it and I would recommend it to anyone else who does simple and small woodworking projects in their dining room :). You've made a good point. I hope that other viewers don't think that using a table like this is a good idea without extra support or for heavy work. The table we use, although it cannot stand alone...is supported by a very heavy couch from behind and is supported by me when heavy work is going on. This is, perhaps, not obvious in the video.
